For the reason of having nowhere better to put it - it will land in the Insectan family - though really it was quite different and quite odd. The optical insect is a photo theremin of sorts. Multiple controls over various waves. Very beautiful piece in an amazing box. Another bakelite panel that likely shaved some time off my life.
