Matter, Conduit, Resist and other modular works by Folktek, as well as Materia and Mentalis standalone works utilize breadboards or headers (essentially the same). Aside from the standard breadboard jumpers (Dupont) which are provided, there are other options. If you'd like to know how to order more jumpers, find yourself incapable of using the supplied jumpers without breaking them or would like to take a different approach, this page will offer some description, links and alternatives. Note that these are available all over the internet, from ebay to Mouser or digikey - you can search for the best prices or alternatives and if you live outside the US, you may find it best to seek them closer to home.

Supplied Jumpers (Dupont)

Typically 10cm-15cm. If they start to get bent, you want to stop using them. It's also important that you make efforts to not break them in the header or breadboard (though they can be removed).

It's very inexpensive to restock them:

They also make all variety of male and female version so the cables can be stacked for great length if needed (great for breadboarding designs). Also, if you're inclined, it's very simple to strip a few wires, twist them together and put some heat shrink around them for single to multi-plug:

Other breadboard jumpers

These are generally sold in plastic cases of 140pcs of various lengths. They're much less likely to break but they're also great for creating more flush, hard patches:

Cloth-covered cable

This is some of the best cable we've found for use with the breadboards or headers. Buy a roll of 25 or 50 feet at a relatively low cost and you'll have plenty for now and the future. Simply cut into lengths you like and either pull pack the cloth to reveal the wire, or cut some of the cloth away from both ends. Cutting the cloth is best.  If you get the white stuff, you can paint the cable different colors. It fits perfectly into the breadboards/headers, is classy, flexible and while it will eventually break, it's less likely to break in a header and easy enough to simply cut a little more of the cloth and have a fresh tip:

Folktek will not offer more cables for purchase. There are too many sellers out there and we're not interested in purchasing, reselling and shipping wires or cables.
